Friends of India Association (FOIA) is a civic association registered in the Czech Republic, uniting people who share a deep appreciation for India — its culture, heritage, values, and people.
Founded on the principles of friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding, FOIA serves as a platform for Czech and Indian communities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate together.
Our association is active across four key areas that bring our mission to life.
Organizing festivals, exhibitions, and cultural evenings that showcase the rich diversity of Indian traditions — from classical arts to contemporary expressions — for the Czech public.
Facilitating connections between Indian nationals living in the Czech Republic and the local Czech community, supporting integration and mutual understanding through regular meet-ups and networking events.
Running workshops, seminars, and educational programs about Indian history, philosophy, cuisine, language, and arts — fostering genuine curiosity and appreciation among Czech citizens.
Supporting Czech–Indian bilateral relations through cooperation with embassies, institutions, businesses, and NGOs, and facilitating exchange programs that deepen ties between both nations.
